THE BRISTOL BALLOON FIESTA
        - AUGUST 12th -
Well the set started with the presenter reading from the famous description of Super08 (the "conjuring all the bass and thunder of a bison stampede on Salisbury Plain" stuff). Then the guys struck in with a staggering performance of 'Sometimes The Charm' in which the ground shook with the bass and drums, and the crowd looked in awe at Si's guitaring. Nik drove the guys forward with continuous chords and vocals that we'd never heard before.
Next up was 'I Revere The Saints', an all-time loved classic, featuring everything from awesome bass riffs to power drumming. Nik dispensed with the guitar, and decided to liaison about the stage with his cool new wireless microphone.
To finish off the awesome set up they played 'Your Boring Stories of Culture Etc...' where Nik sang lyrics which shouldn't be heard at 2 o' clock in the afternoon! Al gave the impression of not wanting to be seen as he was frequently obscured by the smoke from the stage team (or was it the friction from Si's guitar riffs???)
The icing on the cake was that we got to spend the afternoon lying in the sun with the guys and their mates, criticising the other bands and having a few photos taken. We even got to swallow down some fantastic super08 cake!
All in all it was a day that shouldn't have been missed, in which case, see you at the next BBF!

THE FLEECE & FIRKIN
      - MAY 31st -
"Unfortunately I wasn't let in as it was an 18s only venue (The Fleece being a pub and all), but I met the whole band for the first time and it was AWESOME!!!
If anyone reading this was there, sign the Fanbook or visit the forum and inform us of what we missed!"
We've got the recording sent to us and it was awesome! Most of all I loved how Nik dedicated Fallen Manna Arcade to me!
